ISI FALL BIBLE DISCUSSION GROUPS - 2018
An Opportunity to Build Relationships and Discover God's Will for Your Life
ISI Bible Discussion Groups are designed to help international students and scholars gain a better understanding of God and His plan for their lives through a weekly exploration of the Bible. Leaders and participants meet together in a home for dinner and then sit down together to explore the Bible passage of the week.
The Fall Bible Discussion Groups will meet on a weekly basis during the fall.
Hosting the Bible Discussion Group in the fall months will be Bob and Sandra Jackson, Bob and Carole Dellinger and Michael and Liz Schulte.
The First Group, led by the Jackson's and Dellinger's will have as its theme: Living at Peace Surrounded by Conflict. All of us have conflicts in our lives, but how do we handle those situations correctly? How do we bring peace out of disharmony?
The Second Group, led by the Schulte's will have as its theme: Spiritual Formation: How to grow spiritually when you feel stuck. Liz Schulte writes this about the topic: This study is mainly for Christians, but if you're not a Christian you can also attend. The Christian life isn't fundamentally about being a good person and doing the right things. It's about opening our heart to a relationship with God. Many times it's easy to lose the joy in following God, and to give up on experiencing that joy again. We will study how we can be truly open to how God wants us to live our lives.
Both groups will begin with dinner, often a Pot Luck meal where each person brings a dish to share.
