English Practice Groups Developing great communication skills.
In Blacksburg, many students and scholars arrive at Virginia Tech proficient in the skills of reading and writing English. Being able to communicate verbally, however, remains a challenge. International Students, Inc. offers English Practice Groups to assist internationals in becoming comfortable in one-on-one conversation.
Bob and Carole Dellinger, in cooperation with ISI and the Cranwell Center of Virginia Tech, lead an English Practice Group for internationals. The class, which focuses on improving conversation skills, is held in Room C at the Graduate Life Center on the VT Campus. The time is 7:30 to 8:30 PM.
Sandra Jackson, working with ISI and Cranwell, leads a weekly English Practice Group for women only at Community Room of the Blacksburg Public Library located at 200 Miller Street in Blacksburg. The group meets each Thursday from Noon to 1:00 pm.
